Some of our youngsters are given less attention by the family where they belong. its maybe because the parents are busy at work or his/her brothers and sisters are into different activities that kept them busy to the extent that they don’t have already time for family bonding. The youngster may lack love, attention, discipline, and self-control. These things may result to any relationship for sometimes they felt the love that they need from their opposite sex. Due to this, a lot of our youngsters got impregnated at an early age. It results to cohabitation or live-in. Cohabitation is living together without the sacrament of matrimony. Couples in cohabitation was not prepared for marriage life or for having a family. This happen mostly to them due to early pregnancy. Cohabitation leads to poverty, additional number of children in child labor, and broken homes in our society.

To prevent cohabitation, parents should be aware of the needs of their children. These includes: physical, mental, spiritual, and most especially emotional needs. Supervision of the parents are very important to avoid early pregnancy which may result to cohabitation. But we should remember that we cannot always put the blame to our parents for most of the time we decide, choose, make a decision on our own.

YOUTH DRUG USE IN THE PHILIPPINES

           After how many years of being free, Filipinos tend to be abusive of their freedom though it may risk other people’s lives. Our fellow-men suffered injustice, crime and indifference. But in this time, we have created our own heartaches, inequality and most of all disrespect. Teens should be at schools learning about Mathematics, Science, World History and etc. They are not to be with their “barkadas” having gimmicks that would eventually lead to some trouble.

            The main issue now is drug abuse that is basically being continually solved by our newly elected President Rodrigo Duterte. He is the man who is aiming to lead back the Filipinos to what we have been and his very mission is to eradicate drug users that are basically seen everywhere.

            The rate of crime in the Philippines increases each passing years. This is preferably caused by drug users that could be seen everywhere. Drug users may consist of young people and adults. The problem however is that it increases as time goes on. Each of us needs changes and wanted to eradicate drug users so as to decrease the rate of crime in the Philippines.

             Many reports said that if the drug users won’t surrender, “shoot to kill.” Whom should be worthy of a chance to change their ways if they don’t want to? It is however evident that our president only needs to change their ways. Many drug users were now caught but still others try to escape and never try to surrender. It’s not our president’s fault anymore. They were given the freedom to surrender and would be rehabilitated for the recovery in using drugs.

             The problem now is that we lack rehabilitation area. But that’s not a problem at all if we put our hands together to lead back our countrymen into what we really are. We should start everything within ourselves.

             We would be able to help the future youths to be the best of them when parents try to care and love them when they’re still young since one of the factors affecting drug use is the lack of guidance, love, support and attention of the parents. If they will be took care of very well, they won’t be finding another way of acquiring happiness just to express themselves. They need somebody else to lean on.

              It is however not easy for our president alone to move on his own. He needs a helping hand to make our country stand on its own. Help everyone else to be the best man in the world. Together we say “NO to Drug Use and YES to Drug Raid!“

 UNDERLYING CAUSES OF DRUG ABUSE

1. People suffering from anxiety and mental disorder.

Mental ill individual entrust their relief in such illness in using drugs or by drinking alcoholic drinks for they are afraid to go to hospitals and tries to solve the problem on their own.

2. The surrounding role models of teens.

The surrounding people affects the teenager’s to use drugs since they are still in the process of maturity and so whatever they see from their surroundings of whatever majority are doing, they also tend to do the same.

3. People become bored.

Boredom could lead to drug use to discover new ways of fighting stress. Since most of the teenagers don’t still have a job, they tend to be more prone to boredom and so, this ends to drug use and abuse.

4. Relieving stress.

Because of too much stress, many teens tend to use drugs to be relieved. This is also due to many things to do at home and at school.

5. People figure if a drug is prescribed by a doctor, it must be ok.

It is easy for an individual to rationalize using a drug because it came from a doctor. This would be dangerous when they will be overdosed or their will be mixing of drugs that could lead to some effects.

6. People get physically injured and unintentionally get hooked on prescribed drugs.

Doctors then prescribe drugs for what they needed and a person can quickly depend on them. Especially if that drug is making them feel better, they could conclude that it must be ok to keep taking the drug, which can result in dependency.

7. To cover painful memories in the past.

Persons having trauma of the past events when they’re young would eventually lead to drug dependence to take their fears away and to forget the past events they have encountered.

8. To fit in the group.

To be able to fit in the group, individuals tries to do what their peers are usually doing.

9. People chase the high they once experienced.

If someone is asked if how it feels to use drugs and especially if he’s using drugs, they would usually say that it’s one of the best feeling they ever had. This would lead to teen’s curiosity of how it really feels using drugs.

Fiber Optics Application

Internet nowadays is very vital to our society and most especially at schools which has a higher demand. Internet connection also flows through the funnel to which success are bind up that leads up to student’s achievement. The hardships of making assignments and projects could be ease through internet.

As we all know, that K to 12 program had been implemented. it consists of various activities most especially in applications. This programs has very awesome goal and there are also some schools who are already applying this program. Researching is one of the hope of the students to pass their assignments and their projects. The school had their book references that thought of having E- library, which was granted, but the students had their major concern to have fast internet connection and suggested some transmission medium. Some schools planned to have one which is a fiber optic but still leaving it as a plan.

     Worrying on some unfinished activities is the result of providing simultaneous activities which also causes stress. Fiber Optic applications can make bigger and more things to do. The students could have have their easier access and in doing the tasks. The faster,  the better. The faster the connection the better the output they could give to the teachers. “Take care of the environment! No to Deforestation!”

We always say “Save Mother Earth” but do we ever do something about it? Do we ever care about our Mother Earth? Or we are one of the reason why our environment is easily being destroyed?

A healthy environment is essential in living here on earth. However, at present, we cannot deny the fact that there are changes. In the hills, mountains, valleys and wherever you go you see a lot of trees. We can see the beauty of our surroundings if there are trees, but maybe sooner it will be lost if we’ll not do an action. These was happening because people are cutting trees which is called Illegal Logging. These become a source of income that even children are involved in this dangerous kind of job. Some, cut trees to build buildings that they are very considerate enough for themselves, they don’t think about those animals wherein little by little got extinct for their habitat was destroyed. The kaingin system was also common, trees were burned, even from a far we can see the smoke. They just think of the income they can get out of it, without thinking the harmful effect it can bring to our environment. “Health is Wealth” as what people commonly hear and say. Do you even think of it that we also contribute to the extinction of animals, trees and other living things in our environment in our own little way of living? Ozone depletion is also one of the causes that even the heat of the sun is different of before. The higher the radiation they acquire the more harmful it is to our health. We can get skin cancer if the ozone is depleted. Come to think of it, the polar bears doesn’t have anymore place to stay and living. The effect of this to our community is flashfloods, in which during typhoon or heavy rain, waters were stocked since there are no trees that would sip the water and this much evident in Manila during the Bagyong Ondoy. Soil Erosion is very much dangerous most especially those who are living in the mountainous area, lives were lost because of this, to think that we cannot predict the power of nature.

We need to take an action right now. If not today when? Will we wait for the trees to little by little disappear and at the end, we can no longer see even one tree. How sad, right? These must be stop. We must care of our nature for the next generation to come. Everyone of us must have something to be done and it will start within ourselves. help to care the environment! No to Deforestation!

Here are some solutions to avoid the effects of Deforestation:

1. If you cut even one tree, be sure to plant plenty of trees.
2. Take care of the trees that you planted.
3. Avoid Illegal Logging and Kaingin system.
4. Go paperless.
5. Reduce, reuse and recycle those things that can still be used.
6. Eat vegetables every meals as often as possible.

No to Early Pregnancy

Early Pregnancy is one of the rampant issue since the beginning of the 21st century, most especially in the Philippines. This issue was uncontrollable all over the world. And most of the victims of this issue are the teenagers. Why? Can we do something about this issue?

Teenage pregnancy in the Philippines is increasing and becoming major cause of the problem in the society. According to World Health Organization, around 21% if Filipinos women become pregnant before they turn 19. This instances happened when teens want to act like adults, but the truth being child mind is still remain.

Most of the teenagers are really the victims of these issues because of some factors like being irresponsible parent, poverty, lack of self-discipline and self-control, peers, environment, and the government. Irresponsible parents, since at home parents are the teacher of the children to learn different things which school cannot teach to the children (e.g. emotion toward opposite sex, etc…). Poverty is another factor because of poverty teens mind set linked to have husband at early age since they cannot continue their study. They preferred to have husband than to do nothing in their life. Lack of self-discipline and self-control, teens cannot control their emotion at a young age especially if nobody helping them on how to control their emotion toward opposite sex. Teens need a guidance from elders. They cannot stand alone without elders to give them advice’s since elders knows better than youngsters.

Peers is another factor of early pregnancy because what they see in their peers they tend to follow. Environment will affect the life style of the person since environment is where we can see the different behavior that we tend to follow whatever we see. Government is another factor because government is the one who will govern the society. They must protect the people though they cannot control everyone but they need to implement rules strictly to the people that surround them specially those people who really need the help of officials.

We can still do something about this issue. We must not lose hope there
‘s always a room for changes. Teenagers must be given a good examples by the elders not only by the elders but teenagers must learn those negative impacts of the early pregnancy at a young age. Teenagers must set in their mind that they need to enjoy life first before entering difficult things because they will just regret at the end.

K-12 is the best period for learning Basic Education in our country, Philippines under the administration of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III.

With the advent of K-12 program, many students view education in the Philippines as difficult, time consuming and financially challenging. This is indeed true, as has been stated in one of the study of Manalo (2012), K-12 is something that cannot be done quickly but which instead requires a long period to complete.

In this page, we will be talking about the main issue of this program and  what are the possible solutions that will be addressed to those people who finds K-12 program as burden with regards to their financial needs at the same time the advantage of this when applying for a job outside the country.

Oftentimes we heard of a news relating to the case of a job mismatched, this usually happens when a person find a job abroad. Unfortunately the coarse that s/he tool up in our country will not be the same period of acquiring them in the other country. There might be a light difference on it, as to how each country implemented there education system. As of the case in our country, 5 years ago we have been through the Basic Education Curriculum in which graduates of the said curriculum experience this events. However, the K-12 program that includes 6 years of primary education, 4 years of Junior High school, and 2 years of Senior High school (CHED Memorandum,order No.20,s 2013). But we cannot deny the fact that there are some people who find K-12 as a burden, since it demands higher tuition fees. According to the Kabataan League of the Philippines (KBP), they are going to ask President Rodrigo Duterte and Secretary of Education, Brionesto heed the demand of K-12 otherwise stop it. This push us to make a petition in this issue to let other people know that education is the key to success. We might find this program as a burden but later on we can still benefit from it.
